Maidstone Health Innovation Fund

The Maidstone Healthy Alliance Partnership has launched its Health Innovation Fund. It is designed to support new or adapted community projects that address one or more of the Healthy Alliance Partnership's local health priorities: 1) Food Insecurity Target Group: Residents of Maidstone Borough aged 18+ Whilst this is a borough wide initiative, applicants are asked to consider the following wards which have lower super output areas (LSOAs) that fall within the 10% most deprived wards in the country (Index of Multiple Deprivation 2025): - Parkwood - Senacre - Maidstone High Street 2) Children and Young People’s Mental Health Target Group: Ages 4-25 years old in Maidstone Borough Whilst this is a borough wide initiative, applicants are asked to consider the following wards which have lower super output areas (LSOAs) that fall within the 10% most deprived wards in the country (Index of Multiple Deprivation 2025): - Parkwood - Senacre - Maidstone High Street This is a new way for the Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector to be involved in supporting the outcomes of the Healthy Alliance Partnership. Each district has been allocated £30,000, so will limit the number of successful applications that can be awarded. We encourage you to be honest about your costs and ensure you have adequate support in place to enable you to work closely with the Healthy Alliance Partnership on developing and measuring the success of your project.

Tonbridge and Malling Health Innovation Fund

The Tonbridge and Malling Health Action Team has launched its Health Innovation Fund. It is designed to support new or adapted community projects that address one or more of the Health Action Team's local health priorities: 1) Improving Mental Health. Target Group: 18+ in Tonbridge and Malling District. 2) Supporting Older people Target Group: 65+ in Tonbridge and Malling District. 3) Improving children’s health Target Group: Children attending primary and secondary schools in Tonbridge and Malling District covering age ranges 4-18 years old, with a focus on tackling obesity levels. This is a new way for the Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector to be involved in supporting the outcomes of the district health action team. Each district has been allocated £30,000, so will limit the number of successful applications that can be awarded. We encourage you to be honest about your costs and ensure you have adequate support in place to enable you to work closely with your Tonbridge and Malling Health Action Team on developing and measuring the success of your project.

Tunbridge Wells Health Innovation Fund

The Tunbridge Wells Health Action Team has launched its Health Innovation Fund. It is designed to fund new or adapted tailored initiatives to support the following age groups: Age group 1: 11-25 For example, improving mental health in young people Age group 2: 25-40 For example, focussing projects that support with wider health and wellbeing such as increasing social connection opportunities Age group 3: over 55s For example, improving free or low-cost community transport to access wellbeing services across the borough Applications must focus on one or more the following Health Action Team's priority areas: 1. Mental health Suggested area of focus: To support and improve mental health across Tunbridge Wells before residents reach crisis point. Through raising awareness, interagency referrals and signposting. To facilitate collaboration between lead agencies. 2. Loneliness and isolation Suggested area of focus: To reduce the negative impact that loneliness and isolation have on health by working with partners to identify opportunities such as volunteering or activities. 3. Addictions Suggested area of focus: Focusing on smoking, alcohol and drugs to increase awareness of the harmful impact of these behaviours on wellbeing. Working closely with partners who lead on the delivery of interventions which support a preventative approach to addiction. 4. Obesity and physical inactivity Suggested area of focus: To promote initiatives such as One You Kent and Everyday Active, and to support the wider work of the county Whole Systems Approach to Reducing Obesity. Aiming to reach clients through targeted interventions to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, stroke and cancer. Promoting the positive effect that physical activity has on mental health and wellbeing. 5. People with disabilities Many of the actions in the other priority areas will target and impact this group, however there is a specific focus on this group in the plan to ensure inclusivity and accessibility. Whilst this is a district wide initiative, applicants are asked to consider the following wards which have lower super output areas (LSOAs) that fall within the 40% most deprived wards in the country (Index of Multiple Deprivation 2025): 1) Sherwood, 2) Pantiles, 3) High Brooms, 4) Cranbrook, Sissinghurst and Frittenden, 5) Paddock Wood, 6) St James', 7) Culverden, 8) Rusthall and Speldhurst, 9) Hawkhurst Sandhurst and Benenden This is a new way for the Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector to be involved in supporting the outcomes of the district health action team. Each district has been allocated £30,000, so will limit the number of successful applications that can be awarded. We encourage you to be honest about your costs and ensure you have adequate support in place to enable you to work closely with Tunbridge Wells Health Action Team on developing and measuring the success of your project.

Sevenoaks District Health Innovation Fund

The Sevenoaks Healthy Partnership has launched its Health Innovation Fund. It is designed to support new or adapted community projects in the Sevenoaks District that addresses one or more of the following local health priorities: 1) Wider determinants of health 2) Health behaviours 3) Healthy communities and places This is a new way for the Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector to be involved in supporting the outcomes of the district place-based health alliances/partnerships. Each district has been allocated £30,000, so will limit the number of successful applications that can be awarded. We encourage you to be honest about your costs and ensure you have adequate support in place to enable you to work closely with the Sevenoaks Healthy Partnership on developing and measuring the success of your project.
