Marjory Boddy Charitable Trust - Application Form
for
The Marjory Boddy Charitable Trust welcomes applications for grants from organisations related but not confined to the areas of health, education, welfare and the arts. We're open to applications for any areas of work as we want to support charitable organisations to meet the needs of local communities as best as we can.
Charities or other charitable organisations should be based within the Chester, Ellesmere Port or immediate surrounding areas. While we do occasionally support organisations that are based out of these areas, this is only where the beneficiaries of the project or service are from Chester, Ellesmere Port or immediate surrounding areas.
There isn’t a set amount for grants we distribute to charitable organisations and the applications we receive can vary significantly, although it is rare that we fund a project more than £10,000. For larger applications, we’d expect to see a greater level of detail in terms of what the funds will be spent on and we might even ask to pop out to see you. All applications for grants exceeding £20,000 in value must be accompanied by current accounts and copies of safeguarding and equality policies.
We don’t typically support projects that we’ve already funded in the last two years, but we’re open to discussions about whether we can look to fund you over a continuous period depending on the circumstances.
Trustees meet three times a year in February, June and October to consider applications. Successful applicants will be notified within 28 days of the meetings.
Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) supports the Marjory Boddy Charitable Trust with the application process. If you have any queries about this application form, please email: enquiries@cwva.org.uk.
