UKSPF GRASSroots Grants Application Form

Application Form


Applications are submitted via our dedicated grants platform, operated securely and confidentially by Plinth. You will need to create an account by setting up a username and password—this only needs to be done once. Your account will store details of any previous applications submitted, which may be helpful if you are applying to multiple funds.


Where you are unable to create an account, a copy of the application form may be provided upon request to the Grants Manager.


Once submitted, applications are reviewed, summarised, and presented to the Panel by the Foundation, usually within six weeks of the fund’s closing date. Applicants will typically be notified of the outcome within a week of the Panel meeting. You may be contacted by the Grants Manager if further information or supporting documents are required.


Fund Purpose

To enable places to invest in and restore their community spaces and create the foundations for growth at neighbourhood level. The intention is to strengthen the social fabric of communities, building pride in place by improving local community infrastructure, creating opportunities for social connections to develop and thrive.


Who Can Apply

Projects must align with the aims of UKSPF and demonstrate they improve the wellbeing of residents in Boston Borough, East Lindsey or South Holland, help strengthen communities and address one of the following priorities:

  • Activities/programmes and capital costs for smaller meeting places which will improve and widen the use of community buildings including village halls
  • Projects that enhance community transport infrastructure
  • Community & neighbourhood projects/activities which bring people together and support groups of people
  • Projects/events that develop new local arts, cultural, heritage activities
  • Impactful volunteering and/or social action projects
  • Capacity building projects for local groups that increase resilience and sustainability
  • Projects that focus on local regeneration, engaging the wider community
  • Community projects aimed at reducing the cost of living
  • Projects that improve digital connectivity in local community facilities


Grant Details

  • Maximum Grant: £24,999.00
  • Payments: Payments are usually made in arrears. However, where an applicant does not have the financial resource to cover the project costs, payments may be made in advance or in staged payments
  • Application Deadline: 30th June 2025 with a potential further Round later in the year should funds be available.
  • Spending Deadline: Projects must have spent funding and have work completed by the 31st December 2025.
  • Reporting: A brief report is required upon conclusion of your project explaining how the funds benefited your local community. This should be completed by the 31st January 2026.
