This work may involve sensitive discussions about parents’ and carers’ experiences of caring for babies, as well as understanding the professional experiences of practitioners such as nurses, midwives, health visitors and ECDC workers. Please explain the steps you will take to create a safe, respectful, and trauma informed environment during these conversations.

How will you ensure that conversations with parents, carers and practitioners are handled compassionately and ethically?

We want the research we commission to have the greatest possible impact for babies and their families. Securing support from Members of Parliament is an essential step in turning research insights into meaningful policy change. For this reason, the Foundation requires all funded research projects to be linked to at least one parliamentary champion who can help translate findings into action.

Welcome to the application form to tender for the Collaborative review of support for babies and their families across South Africa.

- What do parents and caregivers in South Africa say they need to help them in giving their babies the best start in life?

- How can services and support be designed to better meet the needs of babies across South Africa?
